Stories of the kingdom from the kingdom
There really was an air of excitement and amazement as the disciples returned two by two and told stories of their experiences of going out in the name of the Lord Jesus. Their stories must have greatly encouraged one another. Similarly, after the crucifixion, as the various reports come in to the disciples gathered in Jerusalem of those who had met the risen Lord Jesus, there was excitement, amazement and they praised God.
Today, there are many reports, reports of joy and sadness, of God's activity in His kingdom from all over the world, from children, men and women.
Told by Jim, who is with OM, ...
A few years ago, Athletes in Action had invited a young Muslim student studying law, Nabil, to Christian party they threw. He walked in and suddenly he recognized an American man he had never met before. Some weeks earlier Nabil had had a dream, in which he met an angel who took him to meet an American man. Imagine his amazement to meet that man at the party. Recognizing the significance he went over and struck up a conversation. The American invited him to attend a local church where Nabil gave his life to Christ. He grew in Christ, finished his degree and went to seminary.
Imagine my delight when this man became my apprentice, helping to format Christian books to help Muslims encounter the good news about Jesus.
