An introduction to the Donald Family:
Steve and Gloria met and married in Lancaster where Gloria was training for midwifery and Steve was working for Northern Inter schools Christian Union as their first schools worker. They were regulars at the Keswick Convention and look forward to going again. They have worked together in parishes in Cheadle, Barnsley and Oldham. Each has been a great but rewarding challenge.
Gloria is now on a contract at the Infirmary which gives more security and holiday and sick pay!
Lizzie, after doing a three month voluntary placement she applied to the Medical Records department at the Infirmary and was successful in getting a six month temporary contract for thirty hours. This month she has been told that they are extending her contract for a further year making it full time and then they will make it permanent. She is delighted as she loves the work and of course the pay!
Abi took off for Uganda in January and returned in May. She had an amazing time and an experience she will never forget. In September she headed off for Middlesex University where she is studying Drama and Theatre Arts. It has taken a while for her to settle but is now in the swing of things. She is in the women’s football team, active in the Christian Union and joined a local church.
